Seven building blocks
A quote is the sum of separate parts. Each part rests on a detail that you or we supply. If one detail is wrong, it shows directly in the price.
| Component | What drives it | Where the detail comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Labour | Volume, crew size, hours | Your inventory list and the moving volume |
| Vehicle | Van size and number of days | Volume and weight |
| Distance | Road kilometres, possibly an overnight stay | Both addresses |
| Assembly | Which items are taken apart and reassembled | Your furniture list, see furniture assembly |
| Packing | Boxes, packing material, packing hours | Number of moving boxes |
| Access | Floors, lift, carry distance, furniture lift | Floors and access at both addresses |
| Extras | No-parking zone, disposal, kitchen work, storage | No-parking zone, bulky waste, kitchen |
Distance
Local moves under about 50 km usually take one day. Regional moves up to about 300 km often need an early start. Long-distance moves add an overnight stay for the crew and a second day for unloading. More under moving van and distance.
Why a price can change on moving day
A quote is only as good as the details behind it. The most common reasons for a difference: forgotten furniture, an undisclosed fourth floor without a lift, a long carry or wardrobes that do need taking apart after all. The more completely you describe the move, the closer the quote is to the real effort. After each move we compare the quote with the actual effort to improve our estimates.
Why there are no prices online
Every move is made up differently. Flat prices on the internet would either be too high or turn out wrong later. That is why we prepare every quote personally. Feel free to reach us directly: contact.
The moving planner collects everything that goes into the price: addresses and distance, floor, lift and parking, your furniture and the estimated volume. It does not show prices. You receive your personal quote within 24 hours.
